Pets eat the strangest things!
Just today we removed stitches from a dog who had surgery 2 weeks ago to remove a peach pit that was lodged in its small intestines. The pet is doing great, and the fruit tree has been cut down by the owners. Tomorrow I'll recheck a Labrador that ate a leather collar. Fortunately, it did not need surgery. I've removed rings, jewelry, clothing (mainly underwear), toys, needles, sticks, tennis balls, and more from dogs. But the strangest was a dime in the intestines of a cat! An adult cat! Why would a cat eat something like that?
